I like their music, but by far not the biggest fan. I was in town to see the Disco Biscuits. We decided that this show was a good idea. Well good idea is an understatement. This show was epic. I have seen alot of music, but this may rank up there in performances. The band was clearly on. Thye hit everynote, sound, beat, whatever. The place had such a high energy level. When Triple Wide played and Kang, Magner, and Aaron came out it was amazing. Plus did anyone mentiond they were beerbonging of the second story of the place. To put it simply this is a GREAT show. If your rate is lower than 5 you know nothing. If you like music, then you will love this show. Opened the show with Jajunk and then after the Band on the Run encore just get right back into it. It had been my 2nd time seeing them in the year (seen them in 2006 once at 10klf and never before that) The previous show I saw was a march 14th show at the canopy club. They came out with little vocals and mostly progressive jam. I was blown away and thought nothing could top that umphreys show. I WAS WRONG! As soon as Umphreys came out for the 1st set everyone went crazy. The vic was packed and I was right in the front row with a great view of the whole band. When they opened with the ja junk i knew this was going to be a good show. It topped almost any other concert i've ever been to or even heard. The setlist is great but the jams were even better.
